The Trinity Sport Awards took place on Tuesday 7 May 2024 in the Dining Hall, Trinity College Dublin, with 12 awards and the Pink Ceremony being announced at the Awards Ceremony, which is open to all sports clubs and recognises the commitment of the sporting community at Trinity College Dublin. The event was hosted by broadcast journalist Maire Treasa Ni Cheallaigh.

Reflecting on the year, Michelle Tanner, Director of Sport and Physical Activity at Trinity College Dublin, said, "We are honoured to be here tonight to celebrate the extraordinary achievements, commitment and dedication of our sports clubs and the sporting community at Trinity College Dublin. It is so important to celebrate and be proud of all your achievements over the past year.

"I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate every student athlete, administrator, volunteer, club member, team, alumni, coach, and club that has been nominated for a Trinity Sport Award. I would also like to thank our sporting colleagues and friends across the University, who continue to support our student sporting endeavours."

The coveted Sports Person of the Year Award went to Irish international and Leinster player Joe McCarthy, for his sensational sporting year. He made his Rugby World Cup debut for Ireland and won the 'Player of the Match' award in his first ever Six Nations match against France, and went on to win the Six Nations Championship with Ireland. At the weekend, he played in Leinster's victory over Northampton Saints at Croke Park to book a place in the Champions Cup final on 25 May, all while studying Global Business at Trinity College Dublin.
